Is there an easy way to copy a person's details so I don't have to type them in again?
You don't need to. Any database worth it's salt will avoid duplication of data. In LodgeDat you only have to enter the details for a Lodge, venue, person, company, event, etc, once. To have to do it twice would mean errors would creep in and there would be no simple way to associate records. Enter details once and then use the facilities built into the system to link them. The system stops you adding duplicate Lodges, etc. For example: Enter the details for a Mason. He or she is a member of more than one Lodge. On the right-hand side of the Personal Details form there is space to enter details about the person's lodge memberships. Enter the details for the first lodge and, when you have finished the first Lodge, click on the 'New' button to add another Lodge to the person's list ...
Continue to add as many Lodges, Chapters, Conclaves, etc, as you need to.
Use the arrow buttons to move between the Lodges you have entered. The person you have entered will automatically appear on the list of contacts for each Lodge you have connected them with.
